2023: The Foundation’s 76th year
2023 was the Richard King Mellon Foundation's 76th year of philanthropy, and it was a noteworthy year indeed. The Foundation disbursed more than $175 million in grants and program-related investments, eclipsing our previous year high by more than $23 million.
The Foundation advanced its work significantly in 2022, awarding more than 300 grants and program-related investments and disbursing more than $150 million in funding. The 2022 Annual Report details that work and highlights 15 of the visionaries whose work the Foundation supported in 2022.

Meet Some of our Visionaries
Conservation
